As I progress in my Personal Training course, I had some revelations about Stretching.  Of the four components of fitness, Flexibility is the most overlooked and under-worked (the other three components are Stabilization, Cardiovascular, and Strength).   Most people think to be flexible in your fitness routine, you should be ready for obstacles and scheduling conflicts that come up.  Not many think of stretching or improving your range of motion. I have been looking for a way to eat more animal friendly lately.  I have a few issues with cheese, but for the most part, I actually really love it!  Cottage cheese, cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella.  But the more I learn about our food industry, particularly hear in the United States, the more I am realizing that I should say farewell.  That is, until I borrowed a book from the library that may have actually changed the way I cook. The Boring Side to Fitness

I know this is going to sound blasphemous coming from me, but I’m going to go ahead and say it:  There is a boring side to fitness, and I’m delving into it head-on right now!

In my endeavors to become a mentor and knowledgeable in my conservation fitness program, I felt I should get some sort of professional recognition to help back up many of my fitness claims and suggestions.  So, I found an online personal training certification course and I’ve signed up.  I have no desire to be a personal trainer, even if I get the certification, but the title will give me some credentials that I can’t get with the “zookeeper” or “conservationist/environmentalist” titles. Thug Kitchen- Eat Like You Give a Frack!

WARNING!!!!!!  INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE AND EXPLICIT LANGUAGE AHEAD!

This should be the only time I use this type of language on here, but I truly cannot help it.

Truth be told, I myself actually have quite a colorful language in daily life.  But I recognize it as unprofessional in many instances, and try to not let the cursing flood out of me when I first meet a new friend or colleague.well educated sailor

Do One Green Thing- Produce, Meat, Dairy, Poultry, and Eggs

Embarking on this journey to live fit and green has been empowering, but I am very grateful that I am not going at this on my own.  I have found a plethora of books that have helped me make better consumer choices and create healthier, more environmental habits.
