Today ended Keto week, and I already have started my preparations for Week 3, Paleo. It’s interesting how much I am looking forward to Paleo after Keto. Probably has a lot to do with my level of experience with both of them.

Conservation Fitness Program, Day 13: Winding Down Keto Week
As I wind down from doing Keto this week, I am trying to reflect the positive aspects. Keto is a new lifestyle for me to incorporate. The more I experiment and research the diet, the more I can discover fun and delicious ways to eat healthy. But this week, I STRUGGLED to keep food interesting,…
Conservation Fitness Program, Day 10- Healthy Halloween
I knew when I started this practice session of Conservation Fitness that it would be hard to stay on the meal plan at the end of October. I did it last year, when I tried the Whole30. Believe it or not, it’s not Halloween which is hard to resist tempting food. It’s what comes AFTER…
Conservation Fitness Guide, Day 9- Meal Prepping Saves the World
To me, the most difficult part of the keto diet is the choosing healthy foods and creating healthy meals. It’s almost impossible without planning and preparation, at least at first. Conservation Fitness, Day 2: Finding Balance
One of the biggest downfalls many people have in starting a new program is doing too much, too soon, too fast, and too hard. It took me FOREVER to figure this out on my own, which is kinda sad. As an animal trainer, I would never in a billion years think to teach an animal…
Conservation Fitness Jump Start, Week 1, Day 1: Welcome to Vegetarian Week
I have tried many, many diets and eating lifestyles. Many. I have seen the benefits to them and the downsides to each of them. But I have to admit, if you were to choose one simple lifestyle which would have the best impact on the environment, and the most potential to change your life for…
Principles of Eating Green: Keep it Simple, Sweetheart
I get it. Making every. single. meal from scratch is impossible. With full time jobs, parenting, and all our extra-curricular activities, it’s not easy to make every meal a homemade masterpiece.
