Nothing New

Boring kind of day, today.  So I got some writing done.  And by some, I mean, my warm-up, and about 100 words. Visited the farmer’s market one last time for the season, and got my workout done.  Oh, and rented Captain America for us to veg out and watch during dinner.

Writing Warm-up
The pot was starting to bubble, aromas of chicken and spices wafting over and making my mouth water. I had chosen a good assortment of vegetables to go with the flavors of the season- carrots, potatoes, and celery. With the cold air and rainy afternoon settling in, nothing sounded better than a good ol’ bowl of home-cooked, locally produced, organic yumminess.  Go ahead rain!  Do your worst.  I had all the comfort I needed right here in my kitchen.

New Resolve

On my way to EarthFit today, the wind in the area started to really pick up, the skies darkened, and the promise of torrential downpour loomed over us.  I cancelled the Bootcamp, because honestly, working out outdoors is supposed to be fun, not endured.  It was a bummer, too, because I finished a new medicine ball and wanted to have my participants try it out.  There’s always Wednesday, though…. New Warm-up

*okay, quick disclaimer: I honest to god wrote a post last night to cover the last couple of days, and I swear I published them, but they are nowhere to be found- not in Drafts, not accidentally in Pages.  They are just gone!  Which is really frustrating, but life goes on.  It’s probably related to my Wizarding Powers….

With it being such a nice day, Chris and I decided we wanted to have our warm-up outdoors.  Both of us do not enjoy running, but Chris found a way to make it fun again- Chasing Fairground Bunnies.  We enjoyed it so much we repeated it for our cool-down!

 

New Soreness

We started a new week of Wendler today, increasing our weight and decreasing our repetitions for the Bench Press.  This also meant that we started a new series of Assistant Lifts and a new MetCon after Wendler.

We are still ridiculously sore from Saturday’s workout, which isn’t completely abnormal when you are building muscle, but it did make for a slow start to Bench Press. Continue reading New Soreness
