Halloween used to be a very special and incredibly social holiday for me and Chris. Continue reading New Beginnings
Boring kind of day, today. So I got some writing done. And by some, I mean, my warm-up, and about 100 words. Visited the farmer’s market one last time for the season, and got my workout done. Oh, and rented Captain America for us to veg out and watch during dinner.
The pot was starting to bubble, aromas of chicken and spices wafting over and making my mouth water. I had chosen a good assortment of vegetables to go with the flavors of the season- carrots, potatoes, and celery. With the cold air and rainy afternoon settling in, nothing sounded better than a good ol’ bowl of home-cooked, locally produced, organic yumminess. Go ahead rain! Do your worst. I had all the comfort I needed right here in my kitchen.

Thursday is currently our scheduled “off-day”, not because we don’t have a desire to work out 7 days a week, but because Thursdays are typically my busiest day. Continue reading New Kind of Lazy
The Sno-Isle libraries is running a series through the month of November (National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo) and I got a sneak peek at one of the classes that was held at the Freeland library today on Finding an Agent. Continue reading New Push for Writing
Not a super productive day as I had a headache and slept most of the day away. Continue reading Same Old New Stuff
On my way to EarthFit today, the wind in the area started to really pick up, the skies darkened, and the promise of torrential downpour loomed over us. I cancelled the Bootcamp, because honestly, working out outdoors is supposed to be fun, not endured. It was a bummer, too, because I finished a new medicine ball and wanted to have my participants try it out. There’s always Wednesday, though…. Continue reading New Resolve
I’m trying to load up my “social” calendar to the brink of insanity again. I thrive on biting off more than I can chew, mainly because I have so many “brilliant” ideas swirling around in this noggin of mine, I have to let them loose once in a while. Only, when I do, it’s usually in the capacity of committing to follow through. Yikes. Continue reading New Decisions
*okay, quick disclaimer: I honest to god wrote a post last night to cover the last couple of days, and I swear I published them, but they are nowhere to be found- not in Drafts, not accidentally in Pages. They are just gone! Which is really frustrating, but life goes on. It’s probably related to my Wizarding Powers….
With it being such a nice day, Chris and I decided we wanted to have our warm-up outdoors. Both of us do not enjoy running, but Chris found a way to make it fun again- Chasing Fairground Bunnies. We enjoyed it so much we repeated it for our cool-down!
I met with Parks and Recreation to discuss possibilities for new and returning programs. Continue reading New Promises for New Programs
We started a new week of Wendler today, increasing our weight and decreasing our repetitions for the Bench Press. This also meant that we started a new series of Assistant Lifts and a new MetCon after Wendler.
We are still ridiculously sore from Saturday’s workout, which isn’t completely abnormal when you are building muscle, but it did make for a slow start to Bench Press. Continue reading New Soreness
