Happy St. Patrick’s Day, the day they say the world is Irish. It’s my feast day, since my birth name is Patricia. Although, my celebration is a little off-kilter what most people think when they celebrate today.
No, not LINT. LENT. Today is Mardi Gras. Fat Tuesday. Also known in England and Ireland (and probably all of Europe) as Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day. Worldwide, people celebrate today by stuffing our faces with a ridiculous amount of food (and sometimes alcohol), because tomorrow is International Catholic Extreme Restriction for 40 Days.
