I’ve become engrossed in a book very similar to my concept of “Zookeeper’s Guide to Fitness”. I thought reading a book with the same ideas as my own would cave my motivation, as I feared someone beat me to the punch, but actually I feel quite the opposite. I am motivated and stoked to share another program with just a few subtle differences, to reinforce the first one. They are on the right track, and I love what they are doing with fitness and achieving goals. I am bringing more to the table. Continue reading Level Up My Life- How I Write!
If you’ve met me, you have learned pretty soon that I love lists. I make lists of lists that I need to make. With each new year, a sort of tradition of mine is to list my hopes, desires, my “need to do”, and plans. New years are great for organizing your life like that. One of my many, many emails I get from fellow fitness professionals trying to sell me their programs intrigued me with the headline “Your Must Do Exercise for 2017”. It was basically an advertisement to sell a $60 journal/planner, and while I have absolutely no desire to pay that much for a planner, I took a look at the exercise. I have found myself seeking out excuses to be alone, take naps, skip workouts, binge snack, and basically revert to old habits of (non)self-care. I’m not the most tech savvy person on the planet, as my husband will certainly attest. And sometimes I feel this new age breaks us away from nature and the great outdoors which can be somewhat detrimental to our well-being, and the planet’s. But living in this age can benefit those of us who have something important to share with the world, and social media can definitely be a unique tool for the writer to share their story to a broader audience.Continue reading 100 Ways of EarthFit- Day 89: Social Media for the Writer
